Law enforcement units are facing budget cuts and may not be able to make it on scene quick enough to provide any assistance. Being able to take care of yourself and your family is becoming critically important. Personal protection can be broken down into two basic categories, passive protection and active protection. Passive protection can include things like using initials instead of first names on mail boxes and phone numbers, avoid walking alone at night, stay in well-lit and busy areas and other common sense ideas. Active protection picks up right where passive protection leaves off.

If you have taken all the precautions that you can to avoid a conflict, yet you still find yourself in a situation that you need to protect yourself you may need to engage your assailant. The goal in a life threatening situation must be to stop the situation. Protecting yourself is not only a Second Amendment Right it is also a basic natural instinct. Humans are genetically programmed to defend themselves. In today’s society if you are unarmed you not prepared to protect yourself.
